Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral,不过教堂的正门不太好找,需要从 René-Lévesque Blvd W 街一侧进入。

Before the school year started, my family took a trip to Montreal, a charming French-speaking city. We booked a stay at the Holiday Inn Montreal Centreville Downtown by IHG, a hotel with a distinct Chinese flair , the lobby even had a koi pond, which was a delightful surprise.
On the first day, we had dim sum at Restaurant Chinatown Kim Fung, located in the heart of Chinatown. After that, I visited Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral. The main entrance was a bit tricky to find , you have to enter from René-Lévesque Blvd W. Since it started raining, we headed to the Montreal Science Centre, where we explored a fascinating dinosaur exhibit.
For dinner, we went to a popular Lanzhou hand-pulled noodle restaurant that’s gone viral online. The bowls were huge! Due to limited seating, we had to wait nearly an hour, but it was worth it. That evening, we visited the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, also known as the “Little Notre-Dame of Paris,” to see the famous Aura light show. The visuals and music were stunning, though photography and video recording weren’t allowed.
The next morning, we grabbed some fresh bread from a Chinatown bakery and hiked up Mount Royal. we started from the Rue Peel Steps near the university district — the stairs weren’t too steep. At the summit, we enjoyed a panoramic view of the city, though it was quite crowded. we then strolled to Beaver Lake, a man-made lake with lovely scenery. At the base of the mountain sits the impressive St. Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal.
Around noon, we took a taxi to the Olympic Park. we saw the iconic leaning tower, but unfortunately, it was under maintenance, so we couldn’t go up. we did visit the Olympic swimming pool and the planetarium, then spent the afternoon at the Montreal Botanical Garden , said to be the largest in North America. The Chinese Garden was especially beautiful, with lotus ponds and traditional pavilions. The Japanese Garden was also serene and elegant. The garden is massive, and I didn’t manage to see it all. That evening, we caught another light show, unexpectedly impressive, with immersive projections and sound effects. Highly recommended!
On the third day, we explored the Old Port area, where we tried the Voiles en Voiles pirate ship ropes course , a fun and adventurous experience. There was also a zipline and paddle boat rentals available, making it a great spot for families and thrill-seekers alike.
